Feedback and training meetings on Livestock and Wildlife Integration (LWI)

The LWI initiative is going strong in the Zambezi Region. Two feedback and training meetings were held over the past few days in Dzoti Conservancy. The LWI team met with stakeholders in town for information sharing and to seek collaboration opportunities: the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, The Zambezi Meat Company (ZAMCO) and three departments of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (DAPEES, DOF and DVS) were all happy to collaborate on this project as they are also targeting similar clients. Another stakeholder meeting is expected to give feedback on the pilot project, meanwhile, the project fieldwork has commenced in search of boreholes in the grazing areas.
